LEARN TO MACHINE SEW - 3.5hr MASTERCLASS - TOTE BAG - TEEN WORKSHOP - Saturday 29 May 1.30 - 5pm
Perfect for Year 7 and up, for those who haven’t sewn or had limited lessons. Even useful for those who have started Year 9 textiles and need more practice.
Depending on the sewing level of the participants we can start with a basic overview and sewing lesson. Three hours is allocated to this project level but please be aware an additional 30 minutes is probably required for a group of 4. (Group of 3 should be fine with 3 hours). If you are a newbie I will help you complete the bag if needed.
In this class you will learn to cut out and sew a tote bag, including learning how to sew French seams! Printed and plain fabrics used, but feel welcome to bring 1m of printed heavy weight cotton (Spotlight’s buzoku cotton duck fabric is perfect).
You may also bring your own machine if you would like to sew on it but I do have new machines in the studio to use. Machines must be Australian compliant (no adaptors please) and in good working order.
REQUIREMENT: Closed toed shoes
FOUR PERSON MAXIMUM FOR THIS CLASS.
Covid safe principles apply at our studio - QR code check in required by parent/ carer at drop off.
