Adult Zipper + Cushion Making Course - POSTPONED TILL APRIL - Contact me so I can advise release date

Have you always wanted to know how to sew cushions, insert zippers and even tackle piping finishes around the edges? The perfect course if you want to refresh some of your home decor or even just progress from a Learn to Sew Course onto more challenging projects.

Over 2 weeks you will learn to become confident enough to make your own cushions at home. After the introductory practice week there is one further class to master your sample cushion. Take the time, don’t feel rushed and enjoy the making process in a small nurturing class environment.

Week One: This is all about zippers! Invisible zippers and closed end zippers. Lots of insertion practice and you will even make a small zip bag/ coin purse. Not only will we learn about zippers but also zipper feet, piping finishes and different effects on cushions.

Week Two: Own Project - cushion making.

Ove the two weeks you will also learn tips and tricks to cutting fabric, the importance of pressing during the sewing process and have lots of laughs and tea as well! 

All materials for Week One are provided. We will then go through the materials required for Week 2 during the first class so you can buy all the things you need.

Classes dates and times TBC for APRIL (after school holidays)

REQUIREMENTS: Closed toe foootwear for safety.

You may also bring your own machine if you would like to sew on it but I do have new machines in the studio to use. Machines must be Australian compliant (no adaptors please) and in good working order. 

FOUR PERSON MAXIMUM FOR THIS CLASS. We also need a minimum of 2 students to run this class. Covid safe principles apply at our studio.
